IGP Dampare meets Citi TV/Citi FM Management to strengthen ties

The Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akufo Dampare, paid a courtesy call on the management of Citi TV/Citi FM today, June 7, as part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the security service and the media house for the betterment of the nation.

During the meeting, both parties engaged in fruitful discussions on how to enhance collaboration between the police service and Citi TV/Citi FM in order to achieve optimal performance in ensuring public safety.

Combating crime effectively was also a key focus of the conversation.

In his address to the management team at Citi TV/Citi FM, the Inspector General of Police, revealed plans to appoint a liaison officer who will serve as a mediator between the police service and the media house.

The appointment aims to facilitate effective communication and coordination in fulfilling the respective mandates of both entities.

Meanwhile, Samuel Attah-Mensah, the Managing Director of Citi TV/Citi FM, expressed the media house’s unwavering support for the Inspector General of Police and his goals.

He also pledged Citi TV/Citi FM’s commitment to collaborate closely with the police service to ensure the safety and well-being of the nation.
