#VoiceFactory – Debbie

Deborah Aflakpui, a contestant of Citi TV’s music talent discovery show, Voice Factory is warming up for this year’s contest.

Debbie is a talented young lady who is determined to sing her way through to the top of Voice Factory 2019.

The 20-year-old graduate of the Ghana Institute of Journalism and Manya Krobo Senior High School, who prefers to be called Debbie in the contest, is among 10 other singers who were selected after going through auditions.

The contestants were announced at the official launch of the programme which was held at the premises of Citi TV on Saturday, June 15, 2019.

The other contestants are Samuel Adjasoo, Joel Boyson, Kenny Kings and Genevieve Antwi-Nuamah.

The rest are Franklin Konadu, Ababio Joana, Samuel Baiden-Worgloh, Charisma and Sandra Ntiful Idara.

Apart from getting the platform to showcase their individual talents to the world, the winner of the competition takes home Ghc 10, 000.

The 10 selected singers will battle it out for the top spot, in live performance shows in a period of 13 weeks.

The judges for the main competition are music producer, Kaywa, rapper EL and gospel musician, Edinam Bright-Davies.

They will play a crucial role in assessing the performances of the contestants and ultimately decide who wins, together with public votes.

The contestants will be taken through voice training and other grooming tasks that will harness their musicianship.

The 4th edition of the competition which was previously aired on Citi 97.3 FM is meant to unearth music talents and put them in the limelight.

The programme which started in 2009 has had artists like Fritz Hehetror, Melody Wilson, Natasha Odoi emerging as winners.

‘Voice Factory’ will be aired on Citi TV on Saturdays at 7 pm with daily updates at 12 pm.
