As the date for the performance episodes of Citi TV’s music talent discovery show, Voice Factory draws nearer, the contestants are girding up to prove their worth.
Idara is one of the contestants and she is determined to go home with the ultimate prize.
Born Sandra Ntiful Idara, the 21-year-old singer is a graduate of Sammo Otoo Senior High School in Cape Coast.
She loves singing, swimming, cooking and designing.
Idara believes that Voice Factory is a great platform for her to prove to the world the music talent she has been blessed with.
The other contestants of this year’s contest are Samuel Adjasoo, Joel Boyson, Kenny Kings and Genevieve Antwi-Nuamah.
The rest are Franklin Konadu, Ababio Joana, Samuel Baiden-Worgloh, Deborah Aflakui and Charisma.
Apart from getting the platform to showcase their individual talents to the world, the winner of the competition takes home Ghc 10, 000.
The 10 selected singers will battle it out for the top spot, in live performance shows in a period of 13 weeks.
The judges for the main competition are music producer, Kaywa, rapper EL and gospel musician, Edinam Bright-Davies.
They will play a crucial role in assessing the performances of the contestants and ultimately decide who wins, together with public votes.
The contestants will be taken through voice training and other grooming tasks that will harness their musicianship.
The 4th edition of the competition which was previously aired on Citi 97.3 FM is meant to unearth music talents and put them in the limelight.
The programme which started in 2009 has had artists like Fritz Hehetror, Melody Wilson, Natasha Odoi emerging as winners.
‘Voice Factory’ will be aired on Citi TV on Saturdays at 7 pm with daily updates at 12 pm.
